Hidden Pagoda

Description

Acrylic on Canvas, 40″ x 30″

What you see from the outside is rarely the whole truth. On one of the mountains where Leta and Jaye traveled in China, there is a secret chamber buried beneath the surface, an underground meeting place where the Alchemists once gathered, hidden from anyone who only looked at what was visible above ground. This is the safety found in what cannot be seen, the truth that the most valuable things are often the ones kept furthest from plain sight. This is Stage Eight, the Pagoda, the place where your soul’s own library is stored, each lifetime its own book, each lesson waiting quietly on a shelf you didn’t know existed until you began to climb toward it. The pagoda was always the axis connecting Earth to Heaven, the place humans built to access what cannot be reached by ordinary means. You climb it to disappear, to touch enlightenment, to reach the place beyond grasping. And then, more often than expected, you come back. After the ecstasy, the laundry still needs doing. Jaye painted that hidden chamber, the place that holds everything you’ve ever learned, safe, unseen, and exactly where it has always been.

The Contemplation: Sit with the piece and imagine a hidden room inside yourself, one that holds everything you’ve already learned across many lifetimes. Notice that you don’t have to find it, only remember that it’s there.
