Ultraviolet Dragon
Description
Acrylic on Canvas, 36″ x 12″
The dragon does not always show itself. Look from one angle and it disappears into color, look from another and there it is, coiled and watching. This is the Hun, the part of us that knows past, present, and future all at once, the Oracle that doesn’t need to be visible to be real. Jaye began this piece reaching for blue green and found herself moving toward violet instead, and the dragon changed with her, the way the Hun itself moves, shifting form, never quite where you expect it, never entirely gone. The strength in this piece isn’t loud. It’s the quiet certainty that the power you carry doesn’t disappear just because you can’t currently see it. It is yours whether or not it’s visible today, watching from somewhere in the color, waiting for the angle that lets it be seen again.
The Contemplation: Sit with the piece and let your eyes search for the dragon without forcing it to appear. Notice what in you is always present, even on the days it feels hidden.
